Terms and Conditions
Parents and carers agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility: RCS is for children from 0 to 5 years old.
Opening hours: RCS will be open from 8 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday and children will be in our care during those times for 38 or 50 weeks of the year.
Fees: See Fees document. Receipts will be issued on request. Fees are set in line with our policy as a non-profit making charity to provide affordable quality childcare for 38 or 50 weeks per year. Fees are payable for a booked place even when a child is absent.
Non-attendance:
Please advise if your child is unable to attend for more than two weeks. If we have not received advice, we cannot guarantee a continued place for your child.
If your child is absent owing to an infectious disease, it is most important that the Manager is notified at the earliest opportunity.
If parents wish to permanently cancel their child’s place at RCS, four weeks’ written/paid notice is required. The normal weekly payment of fees will be payable until the end of the notice period has been reached. Deposits will not be refunded if a child leaves RCS before transitioning to Primary school. Once sessions have been booked, changes can be made from the following term with a minimum of four week’s notice unless it is to add additional sessions.
Challenging behaviour: Parents/carers will be informed verbally wherever possible. Exceptionally challenging behaviour will be recorded onto a written Incident Sheet and made available to parents.
Security: For the sake of children’s security, no unauthorised visitors will be permitted in the setting. The use of mobile phones by staff or visitors is not permitted in the setting.
Insurance: All children, staff and volunteers attending sessions are covered by RCS’s public liability insurance displayed in the main entrance.
Arrivals and departures: Children must be collected by a person named on the Registration Form unless the parent/carer gives authorisation on a daily basis if someone else is to collect their child. The parent/carer will issue RCS with a password to be used to authorise collection. In the event of a child not being collected, every effort will be made to contact the parent(s)/carer(s). If attempts fail, then after half an hour, Social Services will be contacted for advice. RCS cannot accept responsibility for the late collection of children.
Late collections will result in the imposition of a fine and on a persistent basis the possibility of losing your child’s place at RCS.
There is no provision for parking on the school site; we recommend that you park on George Hill or in one of the village car parks.
