Robertsbridge Children's Services
Our purpose-built building in the village of Robertsbridge next to Salehurst Primary School opened its doors in July 2007 providing inclusive care for all children aged to 5 years old.
We offer various options of year round care including term time only (38 weeks of the year). Our building is light, airy and welcoming providing a nursery for up to 9 babies aged 0 to 24 months old and a pre-school room for children aged 2 to 5 years old.
There are safe and secure outside play areas, which include a covered soft play section for nursery and pre-school children. As well as our own play areas there is also additional access to the primary school playgrounds and fields. RCS is a registered charity that is managed by a board of trustees working in partnership with Salehurst Primary School. Regular meetings are held throughout the year with an annual general meeting scheduled during the autumn term.
The Darvell Community share our ethos to provide a safe environment dedicated to the care and education of the children that live in Robertsbridge and the surrounding areas.

Our Aims
- To provide a happy, safe, warm and stimulating environment for all children to play, learn and develop freely and individually.
- To help children to develop responsibility for themselves and their actions and to become competent, confident, independent and co-operative individuals.
- To encourage children to have a positive attitude and respect for both themselves and other people.
- To promote a positive relationship with parents/carers and work in partnership with them to provide high quality play and care for their children.
- To offer inclusive services that are accessible to all children aged 0-5 in the community.
- To undergo regular monitoring and evaluation of our services to ensure that RCS continues to meet the needs of children and parents/carers.
